Bitcoin to pay companions

Crypto can look scary but it’s actually more simple than you think. Also. It can be anonymous!

You have to look at it as if it was a game currency. You know how there are games in the app store where you can buy fake money to use in the game? Well, it’s exactly the same principle.

You buy cryptocurrencies with your debit or credit card. It can be any cryptocurrency, for example Bitcoin (the most popular one). Once you buy it, you can sell it again for cash, or send it to someone online.

There are many apps that allow you to buy and sell / receive and send cryptocurrencies, but the best one (most reliable, easy to use) is probably Coinbase.

All you have to do to use it is:

  1. Download the Coinbase app from the play store or app store. It’s a free app

  2. Click on “create a free account” and insert your info (name, last name, email, password)

  3. Verify you email. Check your inbox and click on the link that was sent to you.

  4. Verify your phone number. NOTE: none of your information here will be visible

  5. Complete your personal information + ID verification

  6. Link a payment method

Now it’s done! You have a coinbase account. So. Having a coinbase account gives you access to multiple cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, DAI, Zcash,.. etc (As you can see in the screenshot).

TO SEND MONEY TO A COMPANION:

Let’s say you’ll use Bitcoin. Click on Bitcoin and you’ll access a tab with the Bitcoin prices graphic.

Now, in this tab, you can press “TRADE” to buy bitcoin with cash

Now, let’s say I buy 10E of bitcoin (0.0004494933 BTC)

You'll get an order preview before being able to proceed. Click on "Buy now".

Success!

So now you go to your Bitcoin portfolio..

Here, you will see your transactions, who sent you BTC, who you sent BTC to, etc;

The little arrow on the top right is where you can SEND bitcoin

Now, here's where you choose the amount you send:

Just choose the amount.. and then choose the address you want to send Bitcoin to. PAY ATTENTION: it can’t be the address for other cryptocurrency or the money will be lost. BE 100% SURE that the address you’re sending BTC to is a Bitcoin address. Not Bitcoin Cash. Just Bitcoin (BTC)

MINE IS:

1ECqd72ZQLb5jKc53VobxqjBN7gTVnnYzH

To verify you have the right address, you can chek the first and last numbers and letters of the address.

Then, send it.

And that’s it!
